Milano - San Remo or "La Classicissima" as the Italians affectionately call this annual cycling race. Almost 300 kilometers from Milan south to Genoa and from there on the Ligurian coast to San Remo- Sounding names such as Capo Mele, Capo Berta, Cipressa or Poggio have the decisive climbs shortly before the flat final on Via Roma.
In the footsteps of this famous cycling classic Milano-San Remo: A long day on the road bike is imminent - from Milan in Lombardy to San Remo on the Ligurian coast. We leave Milan early in the morning and start our journey. After the Passo Turchino it goes downhill to the coast near Genoa. From there on to the hilly coastal road past Savona and Finale Ligure! For the final we follow the five notorious hills on the way to San Remo. After 9.5 hours and 311 kilometers we roll onto Via Roma, we deserve the pizza today!
