Dawn Swimming

For this series I joined three older women for their early-morning wild swim in a quiet farm dam in South Africa. In the soft blue hour and first light, their laughter, friendship and confidence in the water created a powerful mix of joy and calm. The images focus on real emotion, connection and active ageing – from intimate portraits on the jetty to wide views of the swimmers cutting through the dark surface of the water. As a sports, people & lifestyle photographer I love telling these honest stories of outdoor swimming, wellbeing and community that brands can use across campaigns, editorial and social media content.
